Our Story
Dynamic Card Collectors began in 2020 as a kitchen-table side hustle driven by a passion for cards. Joe spent his childhood watching and collecting Pokémon - a shared childhood experience for many adults. Decades later, in 2019, he started ripping packs again just for fun. His wife Emily, whose own childhood hobbies had nothing to do with trading cards, found herself pulled in too. What started as nostalgia evolved into the spark for something much bigger.
At the time, Joe was working in the corporate world and feeling uninspired. Selling Pokémon singles online started as a side project, but it didn't stay one for long. He and Emily soon began setting up as vendors at local card shows, then traveling out of state to bigger events. A few years later they launched their own show in Charlton, MA called “Dynamic Cards & Collectibles Show”. They also partnered with The Best Flippin Card Show to host bimonthly TCG/ Sports card shows at Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA, as well as multi-day TCG conventions across the East Coast. Joe quit his day job in 2025 shortly before he and Emily got married and has been doing the business full-time since then.
Emily currently works full-time at her day job in finance but hopes to join Joe working full-time for the business in the near future. She currently runs all of the business social media accounts and sets up with Joe at every show.
A Shop of Our Own
The next natural step for our business journey is opening a brick- and-mortar shop. We’ve had so much fun growing our business over the past 5 years and we want more people to be a part of it. So we’re moving our business out of our house and into a 3,000 sq ft space! It’s a big step for us but it’s one we are so excited about.There’s something special about having a place where people want to be — an everyday space to drop in, talk cards, trade, play, and hang out.

More Than Pokémon
Pokémon is where our story started, but our shop is a true all-around hobby destination. Alongside Pokémon TCG singles, graded cards, and sealed products, you'll find accessories and card supplies, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Digimon, sports cards, collectibles, and board games. It’s important to us that we carry products to appeal to a wide range of customers! You may find yourself stopping by to grab a new binder for your trading cards and might end up picking up a new hobby.
Our Mission
We didn't open Dynamic Card Collectors (DCC) to be just another card shop; we truly want it to be a staple in our area. We opened it to build community — a place where new friendships form over game night, where parents and kids collect Pokémon cards together, where a stranger one day becomes a regular the next. Our mission is simple: create a space where people want to spend time, make new friends, foster their love of the hobby, and have fun in a welcoming environment.
